Alexandra Wang for Balenciaga

Fall/Winter 13 -14

Alexandra Wang debut his Fall/Winter 13 -14 collection for Balenciaga which feathers a few gorgeous pieces that has a cracked effect of Carrara marble. I am a fan of the marble print and it is already a big trend this fall which will lead into winter.  I selected a few of my favorite piece from the collection, the white and black marble print tops and this gorgeously fitted dress. The marble print add great shape to the dress as the marble creates a swirly effect-  making your eye dance up and down the dress.

I'm very excited to get my hands on a few marble print items thing fall, wither it be a stunning necklace, striking hand bag or a beautiful dress.

How do you feel about the new marble print trend?

                                                              Spring/Summer 14

Let’s take a peek into Alexandra Wang for Balenciaga Spring/Summer 14 collection – I could not help myself from jumping into the spring collection and showing you my 5 favorite pieces from the collection!

I have always been a fan of Alexandra Wang's work and now that he designs for Balenciaga I'm more in love with his talent. I love the use of strong lines for all of the tops and the choice of a soft blush pink for the dress. Alexandra Wang always stay true to his style and never steers far from all black everything, therefore the use of all black, white and a little bit of navy is shown all through the collection.

He must create his garments for all the fashionable New York women  because we all love to wear all black during the winter ( or maybe its just me)!

What is your favorite looks from both the Fall/Winter 13-14 and Spring/Summer 14 collection?

Block Heels

//Top - Urban Outfitters // Pant - American Apparel // Shoes- Urban Outfitters//

As I left work pretty early today, I had the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the beautiful weather outside so I decided to take a few pictures to showcase my outfit of the day.   I wore my favorite pair of shoes that has a red block heel which gives a painless experience after a whole day of sporting them around.

These shoes are very comfortable and I believe it always add a great touch to my outfit, weather I’m wearing a skirt or a pair of shorts. It never fails to give my outfit a pop of color and a little edge!

Believe it or not, I got theses shoes at Urban Outfitters a few years ago and I will continue to wear them till the heels fall off!

Hope you enjoy!

BEAUTY HAUL

Let’s talk about the one thing or should I say the few things women love to wear but hate the process of removing (maybe it’s just me) - Make-up!

I keep my make up very simple as you can see in the picture above, I alternate between two different foundations, “Make up For Ever HD” and my one true love “Iman stick foundation”.

No matter what foundation I am wearing, I always apply my Mac “Studio Finish Concealer” to cover my under eye area and correct any blemishes and a little of Mac “Ambering Rose” blush for a pop of color to my cheeks!

Now for the best product – Bobbi Brown!
I truly love and swear by my Bobbi Brown “Skin Foundation Mineral Powder (SPF 15)” which is my go-to make up product whenever I' am going for a "no make-up" look. Every time I wear my Bobbi Brown powder, I receive so many complements all day! (Ladies, this is how you know the product is good!)

Before applying the powder I add a little of my Mac concealer for correction, then lightly pass a small amount of powder on my face - a little goes a long way with this product, therefore this product will last you a very long time.

For dark, long lashes my mascara of choice is my "Bad gal lashes" which can be found at Sephora. Not much to say other then it gets the job done!

Although I love wearing make-up and getting all dolled up, I hate removing my make-up sometimes. However, my go-to make-up removers are my "Neutrogena - cleansing towelettes" and 'Purity" face wash. I remove all make-up using my Neutrogena wipes, and then apply a small amount of the Purity facial cleanser to get rid of the reminding make-up.

At this moment , lets focus on the best feature on a women - LIPS

I was able to find some time over the weekend to stop at the Mac store and play around with a few of their lipsticks. actually fell in love with "Just A Bite" lipstick which is a gorgeous color for the Fall. I' am so excited to wear this lipstick during Fashion Week and all the fun events coming up !

Interview Attire

      // Top - h&m // Pant - Zara // rag & bone sunglasses // Watch - Michael Kors // CC Skye bracelet //

As a recent college graduate, the search for the perfect job in the fashion industry can be very tough. Stepping into the real world is a little intimidating but very exciting at the same time. That excitement hit me this morning! I received a last minute phone call to come in for an interview with a luxury brand, so I threw this outfit together extremely quick before I ran out to catch the next train heading to the city!

The Perfect Match

Iman Cosmetic is a beauty line that carries many different shades of foundation that will leave your face flawless and oil free. I have combination skin which results in my t-zone being very oily, until now I have yet to find the perfect primer to control my oily skin. Now that the Iman stick foundation is in my life, I no longer have to prime before I apply!

After a whole day of wearing Iman stick foundation, my face remained oil free and held a natural glow. My perfect match is "Earth 5", which was purchased at Target.

What’s your perfect match?

DIY: White Carnation Center Pieces

My birthday was right around the corner and I needed something cute and fast to enhance my backyard decorations. I came up with the idea to add a center piece to each table that would light up the whole night! Here are some of the items used to craft this elegant yet simple center piece.

You will need:

-White carnation flowers or your choice of roses

-Clear Bead gallery – purchased at Michael’s arts & craft

-Water lights – purchased at Party City (lights constant bright white light under water)

- 99 cent Madeira beads that I decided to add which were purchase at my local 99 cent store.

- Tubular vase - purchased at Target

I turned on all LED water lights before I placed the Madeira beads into the vases. I followed by pouring an equal amount of clear beads on top of the Madeira beads. Next, I added water into each vase as I gently pressed the white carnation flowers in between all of the beads. As the night progress my vases began to light up the center of each table and they looked beautiful!
